drilling thoughts

throttle peddle jammed yesterday.

could not brake with ease.

had to switch the engines off while rolling,

kicked the peddle back out, restarted the beast.

a good way to wake up before work.

spent today's working morning not at work, spent at the mechanics, had to fix the problem.

not knowing cantonese still sucks, being i still resort to body gestures to tell my mechanic what i wanted fix.

he fixed it like i was the worst thing that happened to his life, poor guy, can't blame him, fixing other people's problems day in day out, probably wondering why people cant take care of themselves.

but hell, he looks fit, at least most of em do, that's the beauty of a labour intensive job, you're paid peanuts but the workout is free.

spent two hours fixing and servicing my car, had nothing much to do but read the papers and find out how the government would want future high rises to be earthquake proof,

what about my apartment? do i get some compensation for a crappily built piece of shit,

where murky water creeps out of my parquet when the penthouse resident decides to fill his jaccuzi every now and then?

or i'd just rather be happy if assholes above me stop throwing thrash from above, stinking the whole joint.

but i guess i do the same thing to my mechanics, sure i'm paying them, but it doesn't mean they have to give me service with a smile, even though competition is tough.

that's what i like about this country, it's honest, and most people know it.
